SHANGHAI, Feb 19 (FAM) – Ocean Network Express (ONE) has implemented a $1,000 per container congestion surcharge for reefer cargoes arriving in Shanghai and Xingang (Tianjin) due to the slow inbound container pick-up activity caused by the outbreak of Novel Coronavirus (Covid-19) and the extension of the Lunar New Year holidays.

Some Chinese terminals, especially Xingang (Tianjin) and Shanghai are already facing a serious shortage of available reefer plugs, the Singapore-based carrier said.
