LONDON, Jun 30 (FAM) – Strong demand has driven up UK international road freight prices in recent months, but rates look set to fall back as August approaches in keeping with normal seasonal patterns, according to Freightex Europe president Tim Phillips.

In his quarterly, Phillips said the market had conformed to its traditional pattern in the second quarter of this year with the “spring selling period” pushing up demand. “We have seen this pattern as usual and in some markets stronger than normal  probably due to the better weather,” he noted.
