MUNICH, May 5 (FAM) – DB Netz AG will present the future of rail infrastructure with co-exhibitors DUSS and DB Energie. The infrastructure of tomorrow will include European rail freight corridors equipped with points and other equipment that can communicate via sensors, and with diagnostics systems that use microphones to keep vehicle keepers informed.

Disruption in the network will be resolved more rapidly, often before it impacts on trains. “This will ensure reliable rail services and make this mode of transport even more attractive for passengers and freight transport,” said Dr. Thomas Schaffer, Head of Sales and Timetabling at DB Netz AG. Visitors to the stand will be able to test the exhibits in a “customer journey.”
