ROTTERDAM, Mar 16 (FAM) – Global and European freight forwarding representatives have voiced their “deep concerns” about the capacity shortages, price rises, and “service uncertainties” for customers with ocean freight shipments from Europe to the Far East over the last few weeks that show no sign of easing in the short term.

International forwarding federation FIATA and European association CLECAT questioned why so many Asia-Europe ocean services had been withdrawn at a time of high demand and challenged lines’ application of surcharges on already-agreed bookings and tariffs.
