FRANKFURT, Feb 23 (FAM) – Deutsche Bahn’s freight forwarding and logistics subsidiary DB Schenker is reportedly looking for possible acquisitions in the US after acknowledging a need to up its presence in the huge US freight market.

Chief Executive Jochen Thewes told the Wall Street Jornal (WSJ) that despite being one of the world’s largest logistics providers, DB Schenker remains a fairly small presence in the $700 billion-a-year US freight market. He said the company expected to firm up an acquisition plan later this year.
