BEIJING, Dec 19 (FAM) – The Chinese mainland’s trade with Hong Kong totaled 245 billion U.S. dollars in the first ten months of 2016, down 7.6 percent year on year, according to the Ministry of Commerce.

The value accounted for 8.2 percent of the mainland’s total overseas trade in the first ten months, Xinhua said. Mainland exports to Hong Kong hit 230 billion U.S. dollars, a decrease of 7.9 percent year on year, while the mainland’s imports from the region saw a sharp increase of 76.8 percent to 15.3 billion U.S. dollars.
