COPENHAGEN, Dec 19 (FAM) – Maersk’s new strategy outlined last week of grabbing more added value and retaining cost-leadership “may be complex and occasionally contradictory”, according to Transport Intelligence analyst Thomas Cullen.

After the world’s largest container shipping group outlined its strategic vision for the newly restructured company at a ‘Capital Markets Day’ this week, Cullen said the plan “gives the impression of being a mix of ambition and caution. It includes some remarkable proposals, but delivering on such plans might be tricky.”
