QINGDAO, Nov 21 (FAM) – China will be fully devoted to promoting the establishment of a free trade area in the Asia-Pacific region, although the process is complicated and many challenges remain, experts noted Sunday.

The comments came after Chinese President Xi Jingping said that building a Free Trade Area of the Asia-Pacific (FTAAP) is a strategic initiative critical for the long-term prosperity of the region. He said such a pact is aptly regarded by the business community as the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) dream.
