COPENHAGEN, Nov 3 (FAM) – The recent announcement that Japan’s three major shipping conglomerates have agreed to integrate their container shipping businesses is viewed by a major logistics player and freight forwarder as contributing towards a greater stability in ocean carriers in the light of the Hanjin Shipping collapse.

Speaking yesterday following the publication of DSV’s third-quarter (Q3) results, the Danish group’s CEO Jens Bjørn Andersen said: “We should not be giving advice to this industry as to what it should be doing. But we are great believers in consolidation.
