HONG KONG, Nov 2 (FAM) – South east Asia is one of the fastest-growing freight forwarding markets in the world, but because it consists of economies at widely divergent stages of development with very different trading and transport needs and growth prospects, servicing the region poses multiple fulfilment challenges, according to Thomas Tieber, CEO of DHL Global Forwarding for ASEAN and South Asia.

Interviewed during a visit by Lloyd’s Loading List to his base in Bangkok, Thailand, Tieber says south east Asia remains one of the most promising forwarding markets in the world, with economic growth rates still relatively buoyant despite the region’s various political challenges.
